"Point System" Changed!
"Attendance Policy"
Caesars Palace
has recently changed the Attendance Policy Points!
Caesars Palace has changed the "Attendance Policy"
TWICE within the last month! Evidently they couldn't get it right the first
time? We are linking BOTH versions of the new policies as we have found them
laying around the lounge.
Did anyone receive an "Official Notification"
or "Amendment" to their "Handbook"? No? We didn't
think so. At least nobody we know has.
Does anyone have an "Outline of Offenses" for the
"Point System"? An outline that describes ALL OFFENSES an employee can
commit and the corresponding number of points they will receive for such an
offense? No? Didn't think so.
Okay, this is the way we understand the changes that have been made and
WHY they were made:
- The number of points for "Termination" has been raised from 9
points to 12 points;
- All "free" call-ins have now been eliminated
(we used to be able
to call in up to FOUR TIMES a year and received no "Points");
- Each call-in will now receive ONE POINT;
- 1/2 point will be given for the 2nd consecutive
day.
- TWO Points will be given for any call in made on a
"Peak
Day".
- TWO Points will be given out for
"Patterned absences"
- HALF point will be given out for
"Late for work (including breaks)"
- HALF point will be given out for
"Leaving work early (after two hours)"
- ONE point will be given out for
"Leaving work early (before 2 hours)"
- SIX points will be given out for
"No Call/No Show"
- THREE points will be given out for
"Denied Day off absence"
So, we USED TO BE able to call in up to FOUR TIMES PER YEAR and
receive NO POINTS and we could call in an additional two days, for
a
total of THREE DAYS, and still only receive the ONE POINT TOTAL
(for those who get the Flu or other illness which lasts for more than one day, the
old policy was understanding of that).
NOW EACH AND EVERY TIME an employee calls in they will receive ONE
POINT for the FIRST DAY and a HALF POINT for the subsequent
2nd day, RESULTING in one and one-half points (11/2) for a two day
illness!
You may say, "Well, they increased the total point until termination by
three points, so that covers it",
NOT EVEN CLOSE!
We HAD FOUR DAYS that were FREE CALL-INS and NOW WE HAVE
NONE! Not only did we lose a day, but we will pile up additional points for
extended illnesses!
With all of us receiving points for each call-in now
Evaluations
will take a hit for sure!
WE HAVE ONCE AGAIN BEEN SHAFTED and they have
ONCE AGAIN TAKEN AWAY
FROM US!
And THAT'S THE FACTS!!!!!
