"Point System" Changed!

Caesars Palace has recently changed the Attendance Policy Points! 

This is  "Harrah's Las Vegas City-Wide Attendance Policy 2nd Version Page 2" that was found in the Dealers lounge.

This is the policy which is now in effect. What we explained on the "Attendance Points Page" is still valid. There are several differences between the "First Version" and this version:

  1. This page notes reasons points are NOT recorded for. The first version did not include this information.

  2. "Peak Business Days" are defined. In the definition it states, "...departments will have the ability to identify five (5) days per year as a "peak business day"." This sentence is VERY IMPORTANT! In the "memo book" in the Dealer's lounge a page identifies "Peak Periods". These "periods" are MULTIPLE DAYS! The Casino Department is in VIOLATION of the "Harrah's Las Vegas City-Wide Attendance Policy"!! The Casino Department is designating MANY MORE DAYS THAN "FIVE" (5) as outlined in the policy! Why can they be allowed to break the policy set by "corporate"?

  3. "PTO/Vacation" is described how it may be used in conjunction with absenteeism. This was not described in the "First Version". The policy states, " Employees who have accrued PTO/Vacation may use such time for shifts they are absent for their entire shift." One thing to note, it also states, "Points will still be assigned as noted above...". Under "Points are not recorded for:" included is "Approved Family Medical Leave".
