The Union was informed that Mr. Einsohn (Company Lead Negotiator) was currently on a leave. The Union was introduced to the new Counsel for the Company, Mark Ricciardi. Mr. Ricciardi will take over as the Company "Lead Negotiator" while Mr. Einsohn is on leave.

Most of the topics of discussion throughout the day concerned the language of proposals submitted

The Company presented the Union with a package which combined all of the Company's proposals submitted to date, as well as all current TA's

The Union presented the Company with a package which combined all of the Union and Company proposals submitted to date, as well as all current TA's. All proposals presented by both sides which are similar in nature have been combined and re-numbered.

The Union had previously sent a letter to the Company requesting information concerning "staffing" of the Table Games dealers. The Company had questions concerning the letter for clarification. After the information request was clarified by the Union, the Company requested time to gather the information requested.

The Union acknowledged receipt of the letter from the Company regarding "Clock In/Out Issues" and resolution to "NLRB Case 28-CA-21893" (ULP). The letter is an offer to reconstruct the policy and to freeze any points given for Clock In/Out violations given between December 23, 2007 and June 2008. The Union informed the Company that "NLRB Case 28-CA-21893" (ULP) has been withdrawn as a result of the offer and reconstruction of the policy.

The Company presented TWO proposals to the Union for their review:

  1. Group Health Insurance

  2. Pension

The Union presented THREE proposals to the Company for their review:

  1. Responsible Gaming Project

  2. TWU "Customer Service First" Committee

  3. Prevailing Benefits

 

The Union and Company came to agreement on TWO more "Tentative Agreement" ("Tentative Agreements" are agreements which both sides have come to on particular "proposals". "Tentative Agreements" are referred to as "TA's". Keep in mind that these are subject to change throughout the course of negotiations and nothing is "final" until everything is "final" and then presented to the Bargaining Unit [eligible Dealers] for "Ratification")

 

TENTATIVE AGREEMENTS

  1. "Controlling Law" (TA'd 7-3-08)

  2. "Attendance Policy" (TA'd 7-3-08)

 

The Negotiations adjourned at 3:00pm.
