Steve Wynn made a "historical decision" concerning Dealers and Supervisors "income"!
We all know pretty much what has happened since. The Wynn Dealers contacted the TWU and voted in the Union. The "move" made by Wynn was/is challenged in court. The Wynn Dealers are now at the "negotiation table".
VERY IMPORTANT! So far, the courts have upheld what Wynn has done, contrary to the Nevada Revised Statutes (Law)! There is ONLY ONE COURT left, the Nevada State Supreme Court. There can be no "Federal Courts", as this is a "State Issue" and no Federal Law has been violated (that we are aware of). So, as we have observed the lower courts blatant disregard for the Law, we assume there will be no difference in the Supreme Courts ruling.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? As soon as the Supreme Court rules in favor for Wynn, the corporate phone lines will be blazing! EVERY CASINO IN THE STATE OF NEVADA may issue NEW POLICIES to CONFISCATE ALL DEALERS TIPS FOR REDISTRIBUTION!
This is NOT something we are saying to try to "scare" you. This may be fact! FACT: We all know how the casinos are continually trying to "cut costs", and we know the largest "operating cost" ANY business has is "wages". FACT: We know as the "bottom line" increases, so increases the bonuses of the "policy makers".
Many of you may not remember or know about the "policy" which was once used in the "Baccarat Pit" at Caesars Palace years ago. The Floor received $80-per-shift "salary" plus a "full envelope". This was what everyone who worked in the pit agreed to, including Dealers. With that in mind, when the Supreme Court upholds all the lower courts decisions concerning Wynn's "toke sharing policy", you may see EVERY CASINO IN THE STATE confiscate the Dealers tips to redistribute back to both the Dealers and the Floor. It is not unimaginable that the casinos will immediately DROP THE FLOOR'S Salary (they have no contracts) to a level of say maybe $1-per-hour more than the top Dealers wages, and supplement their salary with a full share of tips! Don't fool yourself by saying "They won't do that". WHY WON'T THEY? The courts have upheld it. It will increase their bottom line by ten's of millions of dollars! They will finally be able to cut their highest business expense, "wages"! Then it will go DIRECTLY to them in the form of bonuses! If you can inject a large cash infusion into your bank account, wouldn't you do it? SO WOULD THEY!
Here is where it gets "scary" and this possibility DOES EXIST! When the court upholds the lower courts decisions, the corporations can confiscate not only the Dealers tips, but ALL TIPS FROM ALL NON-UNION TIP EARNERS on their property. Then they can "pool" (legal) all the tips together for redistribution to ALL NON-UNION EMPLOYEES who "service" the customer on ALL of their properties combined! Get the picture?
You have ONLY ONE CHANCE to stop all this from happening! YOU MUST ORGANIZE NOW BEFORE THE COURT RULES! YOU CAN NOT "WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS" YOU MUST TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR TOKES NOW! Unless of course you won't mind taking a cut in your income.
Please know this, once the TWU petitions the NLRB for a "vote" EVERYTHING STAYS THE SAME! If you get your cards and petition in BEFORE the court rules, you have saved your tokes, provided you continue through with voting in the Union. If you wait until AFTER the court rules for Wynn, you are now STUCK with your tokes being confiscated and will have the very difficult task of negotiating them back. WHY TAKE SUCH A FOOLISH RISK?
We know that MANY casino Dealers are watching this website. THIS will affect ALL DEALERS IN THE STATE! EVERY CASINO DEALER IN THE STATE MUST ACT NOW!
